- "Client", "you", "your" refers to any person who brings a timepiece for service, makes an enquiry via our website, or uses our services in any capacity.

- "Timepiece" refers to any watch, clock, or horological item left with us for assessment or repair.
- "Agreement" refers to the arrangement formed between Wela Atelier and the client once a written condition report has been accepted and work authorised.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, submitting an enquiry form, or leaving a timepiece with us for assessment or service, you confirm that:
- You are aged 18 or over, or have the authority of a parent or guardian.
- You have the authority to enter into an agreement for the service of the timepiece presented.
- You accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
If you do not accept these terms, you should not use our website or services.
3. Service Description
Wela Atelier provides watch repair, servicing, battery replacement, and restoration services from our Bangkok workshop. Our services include:
- Care Visit & Battery Service — same-day quartz watch care including battery, gasket, strap adjustment, and external clean.
- Full Movement Service — complete disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and water-resistance testing for mechanical and quartz movements.
- Heritage Restoration — hand-finished overhaul for vintage and collector timepieces, including sympathetic parts sourcing.
Services are available at our Bangkok atelier, Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00. We do not offer postal repair services.
4. Assessment and Authorisation Process
All service work proceeds on the following basis:
- The timepiece is examined and a written condition assessment is prepared at no charge.
- The assessment, including proposed work and cost, is shared with the client for review.
- Work begins only upon the client's express agreement to proceed. Agreement may be given verbally, by email, or in writing.
- If additional findings arise during the service that affect scope or cost, work is paused and the client is contacted before proceeding.
- The client may collect the timepiece at the assessment stage at any time, without charge for the assessment itself.
5. Client Responsibilities
When leaving a timepiece with Wela Atelier, the client agrees to:
- Confirm they have the right to authorise service on the timepiece presented.
- Provide accurate information about the watch's history, any previous repairs, and the issue observed.
- Collect the timepiece within 30 days of notification that work is complete. After 60 days, Wela Atelier reserves the right to apply a reasonable storage fee.
- Pay the agreed price upon collection. Timepieces will not be released until full payment has been received.
6. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (THB). The agreed price is confirmed in writing before work begins. Final invoiced amounts will not exceed the agreed quote except where additional work has been expressly authorised by the client during the service.
Payment is due upon collection. We accept cash and standard bank transfer. We do not currently accept credit cards on site; please enquire in advance if an alternative is needed.
7. Timelines
Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to parts sourcing, unexpected findings during disassembly, or workshop scheduling. We will notify clients of any significant change to the estimated timeline as soon as it becomes apparent. Delays do not entitle clients to cancel an agreed and authorised service, though we will discuss reasonable options if a timeline change creates a difficulty.
8. Care of Timepieces
Wela Atelier takes reasonable care of all timepieces in our custody. Each watch is photographed, logged with serial number, and stored in a padded, secured location when not on the bench. We carry public liability insurance covering items in our care.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, concealed faults revealed during disassembly, or deterioration arising from conditions of the watch not visible at the time of the initial assessment.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Wela Atelier website — including text, images, and design — is the property of Wela Atelier or used with appropriate permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without written consent.
10. Disclaimers
Our services are provided with reasonable skill and care in accordance with professional watchmaking standards. We do not make warranties as to specific improvements in timekeeping rate beyond what can reasonably be achieved given the condition of the movement presented.
For very old or heavily worn movements, we will advise on the realistic outcome of a service before work begins. We will not proceed if we believe the outcome is unlikely to represent fair value for the client.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Wela Atelier's liability to any client in connection with a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the service of a timepiece.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall first be subject to good-faith discussion between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, the dispute shall be referred to the courts of Bangkok, Thailand, which shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after any such update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
